Music festival travel

Sell the festival, not just the room.

STFU Bimini, STFU Vegas, immersive long-weekenders. Bundle hotel + festival pass + boat transfer + brunch into a single product. Let the squad of eight pay themselves.

The shape

A festival weekend is a product, not a hotel listing.

The thing your customers buy isn’t a room — it’s a Friday-to-Monday across two beaches, three parties, and a boat. Booking that as a hotel reservation with notes for everything else is how operators lose 40% of revenue to side-channel Venmo and angry refund tickets when the boat transfer wasn’t paid for.

Stay & Play models the bundle as one product with composable extras — and then handles the awkward truth that a squad of eight wants one of them to book and the other seven to pay their own way.

What ships native

Festival-travel primitives.

Hotel + pass + extras bundle

One product: 3 nights at the host hotel, GA festival pass, boat transfer, Saturday brunch. Customers buy the weekend, not the parts.

Squad CrewPay

Eight people, one room block. The organiser books four twins. The other seven pay their share through CrewPay invite links — including the boat-transfer fee, pro-rated.

Tier upgrades

GA pass, VIP pass, Cabana pass — different tiers in the same package family. Hide-on-cap means “Cabana sold out” disappears from the picker the second it’s true.

Frozen receipts

Lineup changes in March. Your accountant cares about the December receipt. The receipt PDF doesn’t change because the lineup did.

Worked example

STFU Bimini — Squad Cabana package.

Eight friends in NYC want to do STFU Bimini together. One organiser, Maya, hits your booking page and picks Squad Cabana — 4 twins. Stay & Play locks the bundle: Bimini Bay host hotel, four twins, eight cabana passes, eight Friday boat transfers, Saturday brunch for eight.

  • Stay — 3 nights at Bimini Bay Resort, 4 twin rooms blocked together
  • Passes — 8× Cabana tier festival passes
  • Transfers — 8× Friday boat transfer from Miami
  • Extras included — Saturday brunch (×8), welcome cocktail (×8)
  • Payment — Maya pays her share via Apple Pay (Stripe). Other 7 each get a CrewPay link, pay their share whichever way they want, in installments if they want.

If two of Maya’s friends bail in May, the auto-charge cron flags them as unpaid, you reduce the room block to three twins via the admin, and the affected invitees’ frozen receipts are voided cleanly with refund webhooks. Maya never had to be the group’s treasurer.
